நீர்வீழ்ச்சி

கதிரொளி  பாய்கிறது  ஆற்று கற்களில் .
ஆறு தடுமாறாமல் தாவுகிறது
பல உயரத்திலிருந்து-
மூவாயிரம் அடிகள் மின்னும் தண்ணீர்
வானிலிருந்து பொழியும் பால்வெளி

From high above, the river steadily plunges--

three thousand feet of sparkling water--
the Milky Way pouring down from heaven.
